Swamp white oak (Quercus bicolor)

Swamp white oak is a medium-sized tree of the northcentral and northeastern mixed forests with an open, irregular, rounded crown.  It can be found in lowlands, along edges of streams and inswamps that are subject to flooding, yet can also be found in suburan and city streets. Prefers well drained soil and can withstand hot summers an subzero temperatures. It grows faster than most other white oak species attaining a height of 60-70 feet. This oak like most others is long lived reaching ages of up to 300-350 years old. These trees are 0-1' tall.
